Appalachian Trail Days 2024

The Appalachian Trail Days Festival in Damascus, Virginia, is an annual celebration held each May, dedicated to the Appalachian Trail and its community. Known as "Trail Town, USA," Damascus transforms into a bustling hub for hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, and locals. The festival features a variety of events, including a hiker parade, gear vendors, workshops, live music, and outdoor activities. It also serves as a reunion for thru-hikers and a welcoming space for new adventurers.

Moe has been going every year since 2017, representing the New York-New Jersey Trail Conference and the AT Class of 2016. This year, Jeff joined Moe for the festival, along with friends and fellow thru hikers. We did our best to capture the wonderful welcoming atmosphere at Trail Days and all the fun that we had being there.

We were also able to capture Odie's (Hiker Yearbook) entire speech following the Hiker Parade, which we included in its entirety in this video.
