North Percy Peak - NH 52 With A View

Part of New Hampshire’s 52 with a View, North Percy Peak is located in the Nash Stream Forest north of the main part of the White Mountains National Forest. At 3430 feet in elevation, it's significantly lower than the highest of the White Mountain high peaks, but what it lacks in elevation, it makes up for with its open rock summit cone.

The trail up North Percy traverses these open rock slabs and provides amazing views of the surrounding north country. For this hike Jeff followed the Percy Peaks Trail from the trailhead on Nash Stream Road, a seasonal road open memorial day through November (till the snow flies).

The trail is roughly 2.2 miles one way (from trailhead to summit) and for this hike it was an in and out, though the GPS mileage was a tad over 5 miles overall.

Moe was back in the Catskills, as he had Hike On Guides clients that weekend.
